Proceeds from the inaugural Grosse Pointe Bridge Tournament will support Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe’s Breast Care Center and the creation of a new Hybrid Surgical Suite.
The Breast Care Center offers evaluation, management and long-term care for women with breast diseases and women considered at high-risk for developing breast cancer. Services for women at the Breast Care Center include screenings using the latest digital 3D mammography systems, also known as tomosynthesis.
The Hybrid Surgical Suite, will be the keystone of the surgical center renovation. The hybrid suite will allow Beaumont, Grosse Pointe surgeons to take a minimally invasive approach to surgeries, including vascular, thoracic and trauma. A minimally invasive approach results in enhanced outcomes with shorter recovery times, meaning less time in the hospital. The new suite will convert two existing operating rooms into one large suite containing the very latest in minimally invasive and imaging technologies.
